About Us
Our Mission

We empower individuals, organizations, and communities to transform information into action for a more equitable future. Through rapid, accessible updates and clear analyses of executive policies, we ensure our audience quickly understands emerging policy threats, their impacts on health equity, and provides inspiration for institutional action.
In tandem, our Mobilization Network connects and equips change-makers with targeted courses, convening opportunities, and organizing tools, enabling a unified, informed response to counteract harmful policies and drive lasting, equitable solutions.

Who We Are
The Health Equity Policy Hub is an initiative of HealthBegins, a national mission-driven strategy and implementation firm that helps Medicaid-managed care plans, health systems, and social service organizations meet health care equity and social needs goals and achieve long-term impact for people and communities harmed by societal policies and practices.
What We Do
At HealthBegins, we have long encouraged our partners to take a multi-level analysis to improving health equity, including by addressing the social and structural drivers of health. Health equity is determined by more than healthcare—it’s influenced by housing, education, transportation, and economic opportunity. The Health Equity Policy Tracker monitors executive actions that impact health equity, categorizing them by status, agency, and affected populations.
Policy language can be technical and difficult to navigate. We break executive actions down into clear, accessible summaries, ensuring that community leaders, advocates, and organizations have the insights they need to respond effectively.
